Golf Course Maintenance Week

Friday 6th September 2024

There will be some renovations to the Golf Course starting on Monday 9th September. This is will involve creating new ditches between the 3rd and 7th holes, micro-coring of the greens, topdressing and overseeding and work on clearing the lake. Whilst this work is being carried out, there is the potential for some holes to be closed and Temporary Greens and Tees in play at certain times. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but this work is essential to provide our customers which a quality golf course. Monday 9th September - Temporary Tee on 3rd Hole, Hole 7 Closed

Scot Duffy - PGA Professional

Scot began playing golf from the age of 13 at West Lancashire Golf Club, and he went on to become an assistant at Bootle Golf Course in 1995. He gained his PGA Professional qualification in December 2000, and started at Aintree in January 2001.

Over the past few years Scot has become heavily involved in teaching pupils from a number of schools in the local area. As well as teaching juniors the different aspects of the golf swing, the scheme also makes them aware of the level of golfing etiquette that is expected on a golf course.
