Weekly Update

As part of our new website being launched, we will provide weekly updates for any news from the Golf Center and competition results from that week. 

11th August-17th August

Course maintenance has been taking place on the 7th and 8th holes. Mounds are being built up to redefine the course. More information will be available soon, as we will have a dedicated page on our site about the work taken place and work to take place. 

Thursday evening had a 4BBB competition for the member. Both Jordan Winstanley & Sam Stokes and Ray Howard & John Wilkinson both scored 30 points. However Ray and John were declared the winners after 6 hole countback. Congratulations!!

Sunday's competition had a blind pairs competition take place. A new format for this year saw players' randomly pick out their pairs partner after the event. Ray Warwick and Colin Hadwin scored 71 points between them and pipped Ryan Chapman and Monica Boyd to the win on countback after they also scored 71 points. 

Also on Sunday, Gaynor Demellweek won the Ladies Stableford competition with a fantastic score of 22 points. 

Outside of the Golf Center, Ste Hackett and Michael Williamson finished second in the Lancashire Union Men's Scratch Foursomes at Lancaster. Mike and Ste shot a 1 under par 70 to lose out on the title by one shot. A great effort from both!!
