Sparks Wins Matchplay Major

Congratulations to Tom Sparks who claimed the County Stand Singles Matchplay Trophy defeating Kieran Starkey in the final. 

Tom was victorious after a fabulous 4 & 3 win over Kieran in a hard fought contest. 

Despite Kieran giving 19 shots to Tom, he hung on very well to be 1 down after 12 holes. But a 3 hole burst from Tom on 13, 14 and 15 sealed the win and Tom's first major trophy. 

Commiserations to Kieran, who had a great tournament but couldn't add another trophy to his Captains Day success earlier in the summer. 

Congratulations Tom on a great acheivement!!
